SHANNON McCRIMMON BOOK COVERS

Over the last several years I've done many book covers for this talented author. Her stories vary anywhere from the young adult genre to literature. With these two covers we wanted to keep the emphasis on the main characters, but also tell a story by what was going on around them. By utilizing a combination of illustration and photography on the "Kiss Me Hard Before You Go" cover we were able to visually hint at the story of a young farm girl who falls in love with a carnival worker that is spending the summer on her farm in the late 1970's. "The Days Lost" is a much different story - it's a romance with a slight science fiction twist. By working with an amazing artist, Sheila Lutringer, to get just the right feel we were able to indicate the story has some tense moments as well as a exciting adventure that follows the main characters journey.
